Dr. Magnus Murphy MD/OBGYN, is a certified surgeon and Doctor of
Gynecology and Obstetrics who has dedicated his practice to the specialisation
of the female pelvic floor. In 2001 Dr Murphy astonished the gynecological
community by publishing “Pelvic Health & Childbirth” - a book in which he
describes radical approaches to managing the health of the female pelvic floor.
Dr Murphy is widely recognised as an expert in vaginal and pelvic floor surgery
and pelvic floor disorders.
Dr Murphy has the following to say about the Kegelmaster:
”If you are currently suffering from incontinence,
pelvic organ prolapse, pubococcygeus muscle or another vaginal or pelvic floor
disorder, you must take serious consideration of the Kegelmaster as a viable
non-surgical means of treatment.
The Kegelmaster is one of the most proven progressive
resistance devices of its type in the world, and has a successful track record
that stretches back to its inception of more then ten years ago. Its
straightforward revolutionary and innovative incorporation of progressive
resistance makes it one of the few, and possibly only, devices that truly
satisfy Dr Kegel’s original objectives set forth in his development of the
original Kegel exercise. It has been clinically shown to be one of the most
effective exercisers in reconditioning weakened or damaged pelvic floor muscles
and alleviating pelvic floor disorders including most forms of incontinence,
pelvic organ prolapse, bladder prolapse (cystocele), uterine prolapse
(rectocele).
I wholeheartedly endorse the Kegelmaster and this is not
an endorsement that I make lightly. Simply put, in my, more than, 15 years of
dedicated specialisation in pelvic floor disorders and research into treatment
options, I have not found a better non-surgical solution capable of delivering
the level of results equivalent to that of the Kegelmaster.
I truly believe that the Kegelmaster can improve the
quality of your life. For more than a decade now, it has safely done so for
millions of women who were suffering just like you.
As with any medical device, if you have questions
concerning your specific medical condition and whether or not the Kegelmaster
may be right for you, you must first check with your physician, a gynecologist
or uro-gynaecologist prior to use.”

So you think you can’t have an orgasm? |

If you think this could be true for you, think
again! Orgasm is a natural response of
the body when it reaches a level of sexual pleasure and excitement it cannot
contain any longer, which then erupts in the ecstatic experience we call
orgasm. Although there are many
emotional reasons for not experiencing an orgasm from time to time, there is a
physical reason that is less well known.
The strength of your pelvic floor muscles largely
determines the strength of your orgasm, or indeed if you have an orgasm at
all! The stronger your pelvic floor
muscles are, the more likely it is that you will experience orgasm, and your
orgasms will be stronger and longer, and more intense.
Do you know that a proven method to tighten
the vagina without surgery, strengthen the pelvic floor and transform the sex
lives of women way back in the 1950’s is now seeing a revival? About time too! The method is simply one of exercising the
pelvic floor muscles against resistance.
Women have been encouraged to squeeze against nothing for decades. This
was never the way the exercises were meant to be done. Sadly, the morass of misinformation and
ignorance about pelvic floor exercises which exists today deprives many women
of the immense pleasure to be gained from having strong well-toned pelvic floor
muscles.
Speaking of the
results women were experiencing with resistance exercise in 1952, Dr Kegel, an
American gynaecologist reported:
"Observations in [more than 3,000
women,] both mothers and women who have not given birth..., ranging in age from
16 to 74 years, have led to the conclusion that sexual feeling within the
vagina is closely related to muscle tone, and can be improved through muscle
education and resistive exercise."
He also reported that 78 of 123 women
complaining explicitly of sexual deficits had achieved orgasm following the
training.
Squeezing your pelvic floor muscles
against resistance, holding, and then releasing the tension, leads to an
increased circulation of blood flow to the vaginal muscular area. This results in a much greater sensitivity to
any stimulation and a tremendous decrease in the vaginal opening. A tighter, stronger vagina creates more
pleasure for both sexual partners.
Exercising in this way can make having an orgasm easier, and allow you
to control the timing of your orgasm, building up the tension to more and more
powerful orgasms with longer periods of pre-orgasmic intimacy and
intensity. Working your muscles against
resistance can also make you much more likely to experience multiple orgasms and
ejaculatory orgasms. In addition, you
will find that your orgasms are stronger and longer.
Strong pelvic floor muscles
can make the difference between experiencing what feels like a total body
orgasm as opposed to what could be described as a genital sneeze! They elevate the experience of orgasm from a pleasurable
physical sensation to a profound spiritual state of ecstasy, in which you may
feel a significantly deeper sense of love and connection to your partner. Try it, and see for yourself!

Here’s one
you may not have tried before. After you’ve
been using your Kegelmaster for a while, maybe a few weeks, and you’re really
feeling the strength in your vagina building, try going through the squeezing,
holding and releasing motion really slowly for about 20 reps, then squeeze the
unit and instead of just releasing as normal, hold it closed for a few seconds
longer. Release your grip really slowly and
feel all the delicious subtle sensations as you do. Squeeze and repeat 10 times. Pause for the usual 30 seconds between sets
and then really tune in to the sensations deep in your vagina (the ones that
could be permanently destroyed by vaginal tightening surgery). This time when you squeeze the unit closed, hold
it closed for between 6 -8 seconds. Then
instead of just releasing it in one motion as usual, release it very slowly in stages. Repeat 20-30 times then pause for 30 seconds and repeat for another 20-30 times.
It’s a very
different experience altogether! You
will awaken sensitive nerve endings in your vagina you never knew you had, and
your vagina will become much more sensitive to sensation and stimulation as a result. It feels incredibly empowering to feel you
have so much control in your vagina as well.
Whoever said exercise was boring!

What's all this nonsense about surgery? |

I couldn't help overhearing a conversation between two women over the weekend who were talking about surgery for vaginal tightening. What is all this nonsense about surgery?
It left me
wondering if perhaps women choose this option without being aware of the
risks involved. Vaginal rejuvenation
surgery (ooh, isn’t that a lovely term!) involves the cutting of nerves, with a
resulting loss of sensation and the formation of scar tissue inside the vagina.
Before you
even think about letting anyone loose to go cutting and slicing and stitching your
vagina, ask yourself if you’re prepared to pay the price of possible permanent
loss of sensation as a result. Seems one
hell of a price to me!
The advice
from the Department of Health is to look into other things -
such as pelvic floor exercises - that may boost or maintain vaginal tightness. I’m in total agreement with them on that one,
and an easy way to ensure success with pelvic floor exercises is to exercise
against the progressive resistance of the Kegelmaster. Squeezing against nothing will never give you the tightness you will get with the Kegelmaster.
With the Kegelmaster you will tighten your
vagina AND increase sensation. That’s
something surgery won’t do for you. Oh,
and did I mention the Kegelmaster is a fraction of the cost of surgery, and no
pain involved either!
Vaginal rejuvenation surgery…ugh, that really
is a horrible term. Love me, love my
vagina just as it is I say!

Now and then I hear women saying "Oh well I leak a little when I sneeze now and then, but it's not that bad". I should imagine that every woman who ever had surgery for incontinence once said that to herself.
